From October 11th to 26th 2024, CJLO 1690AM is once again hosting our annual Funding Drive! Our tagline this year is “There’s Something in The Air” and we couldn’t agree more. We have big plans for this year’s drive which includes special events hosted around the city and a goal of 10,000$!
By hosting a Funding Drive, we don’t only get the opportunity to bring funds into the station, but we also get to spend this time highlighting the incredible programming and DJs we’ve had for over 25 years and counting.
There are two ways to donate: you can donate to receive gifts, or you can donate to receive a charitable gift certificate! Every $5.00 donated allots you 1 entry into our raffle!

On Tuesday, October 15th join us at the Hive Co-op Cafe at the SGW campus downtown. The event will be held from 5:00-9:00 pm, the materials are provided and it is completely free! Make sure to bring your friends for a fun artsy time emulating your favourite Bob Ross masterpiece.
On Thursday, October 17th join us at Cinema Public for a movie night! After the success of last year’s Gamera movie, we are showing its sequel featuring the new kaiju Legion! Excitement, terror and miniatures, you won’t want to miss it! Tickets are 12$ movie starts at 8:45 pm.
On Saturday, October 19th join us at Nouvel Etablissement for a lineup of popular and trending hyper pop DJs! Sets start at 10:00 pm and go until the early hours of the morning. Tickets are 10$, make sure to get them before they sell out!
On Monday, October 21st join us at Grumpy’s bar for our annual trivia night. Hosted by Michael from the CJLO show Cinema Smackdown, this year’s event is all about Halloween. So make sure to catch up on your spooky homework if you want a chance to win any of our amazing prizes from our sponsors! This event is free and starts at 7:30 pm sharp!
On Thursday, October 24th join us at the station for a special workshop held by reps from Worst Dad Ever and Kickdrum. Have the opportunity to ask all your questions about booking shows and have a chance to network with other people involved in the local scene. Entry is 10$ or PYWC. There will be great snacks and even better conversation to be had!
On Friday, October 25th the CJLO staff and DJs will be participating in an all night broadcast from 9:00 pm to 9:00 am. Make sure to tune in as we announce the raffle ticket winners, host games and tell silly stories.
